Former Bank of America vice chairman Gene Taylor is chief executive, former Bank of America executive and Fifth Third Bank CFO, Chris Marshall is CFO and former Bank of America executive, R. Bruce Singletary is Chief Risk Officer.

The purpose of this bank was to help and upbringing the other banks that had a financial crisis in the year 2007-2010, to make money by paying low prices and thus raising a performance of the bank. Capital Bank funds have done well by outperforming most bank indexes over the past few years.

The main interest of the company was in Florida and Carolina. But in 2011 North American Financial Holdings moved their company into  Tennessee and Virginia. Since the Capital bank was upbringing those banks who were in loss, though the company has shown its improved returns in each year up to five years of its operation.
